2. Name of Activity : Workshop on fundamental study of embedded system design and development using Raspberry Pi

The RPi is a single-board computer developed in the UK by the Raspberry Pi Foundation with the intention of stimulating the teaching of basic computer science in schools. But it got a massive following from a wider base of hobbyists, tech geeks and dummies. The best thing with this board in addition to playing with software is you can also tickle with hardware. It has system on a chip (SoC) named BCM28351 which consists ARM1176JZ-F processor running at 700MHz, 256MB of RAM. This credit-card sized computer runs a full Linux distribution. The tiny general purpose pins on the board allow access to the processor and you can take on little hardware projects that you build and control via the code written using different software development platform. The price, accessibility, features, full-fledged support like a computer have added this wider base of followers like users at basic level who wants to learn basic computer programming, to tech guys who want to use it for digitization and for people of commercial world and those who are using board for finished ready to work applications.
